This Week: 12/29-1/4/25

New Year’s Eve is the talk this week in Las Vegas with everyone’s eyes set on the best parties and places to hang out and perhaps even watch the Strip fireworks show. While premium viewings spots are available – expect to pay a pretty penny for open bars, food, and just overall entry. Either way, if you’ve been saving up to spend – here’s your guide to hot spots on New Year’s Eve:

Emmitt’s Las Vegas

This is how you “get on the Strip” at a super reasonable cost that includes a 3-course dinner. One of the newly opened and highly rated restaurants to come to the Strip, Emmitt’s sits at the Fashion Show Mall plaza where it faces the Las Vegas Strip at the corner of Spring Mountain and Las Vegas Blvd. It’s right across from Wynn and Treasure Island. Parking here can be testy as the Fashion Show mall is charging for parking and there are limited spaces considering the hundreds of thousands of people who are in the city for NYE. Emmitt’s is offering a 3-course meal for $125 which includes your appetizer, main course, and dessert. There will also be a champagne toast at midnight. If you’re in the mood for great food (see Yelp!) and with just a few steps outside their doors to catch the fireworks show, consider making a reservation.

Area 15 Masquerade

Just off the main I-15 is Area 15, this beautifully neon-lit playground that surely catches your eye. What’s inside? Well, on NYE it’s a Masquerade party – their ad reads: Bring Your Mask, Not Your Inhibitions. An Altered Experience Awaits. What this means? We don’t know – but it’s certainly an invitation to exploring a good time if you want to be “just off the Strip”. While you’ll have an “across the highway” view of the fireworks show should you walk outside, the Masquerade party is quite reasonable in cost: $40 General Admission (21+) and $89 for General Admission plus 2 hours of Open Bar from 10pm-midnight. Doors open at 9pm.

Brewdog Las Vegas

UNLIMITED is the name of the game at Brewdog Las Vegas. Set atop on the second story on the Strip, for $325 per person (not including tax and gratuity), they are offering unlimited drinks and food (small bites), entertainment from dueling pianos, and a front row view to the fireworks show. Live DJs will also be keeping the beats up from 9pm – 1am.

Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip

Another front row view to the fireworks is at Hard Rock Cafe which sits right on the Strip. This party admission is $300 per person with an optional $125 add-on Comedy Show and Dinner. If you’re ONLY looking to attend the party portion, you can look forward to being entertained by a live party band, select options with their open bar, chef prepared apps at food stations, party favors and a midnight toast. This party is only for 21+.

Fountainblue’s NoWhere

Feel like “lounging” around? Gunhild Carling is going late for NYE at the Fountainblue’s NoWhere lounge. The casino itself has plenty of fine dining NYE options, but if entertainment is your thing and you’ll take care of the dinner part earlier, then the NoWhere lounge could be perfect for you. Entertainment starts at 9pm and will go til 1am.

Fremont Street – Downtown

Want to get off the Strip and go downtown instead? Then, Fremont Street can be your vibe, your scene. While you must be 21+ to be on the scene, expect entertainment from Flo Rida, Bow Wow, LoCash, Trick Daddy and more. The cost of admission is $55 per person (plus taxes and fees). There is more than one stage so plan accordingly to who you want to see. DJs start at 7pm on NYE so be sure to get down there early.
